Team Inversion is Back in Action!

AnagramNS2.com Goes Live!

Natural Selection 2 has launched! After all these years NS1 finally has a worthy successor and we couldn’t be more excited. Team Inversion and its members have been longtime supporters of this game and have contributed in many ways to the success of NS2. Not only are we a competitive team, we’ve been play testers, map testers, 1 UWE mapper and of course Tempest who has been key in keeping the community alive by running ns2servers.com and supplying North America with great high end servers.

As some of you may know we took a break from the competitive scene last November after the cancelation of the NS2HD tournament and as life goes some of the team moved on to other games or no longer have time for games. Fortunately the heart of Inversion has stayed intact and as a team we have grown stronger with the addition of new members each bringing some serious skill as seen with our recent 1st place finish during the North American Launch Tournament.

Now let me introduce and welcome our new members.

Welcome Jonacrab who is a UWE mapper and the creator of NS2_descent. We can all look forward to its coming release unless Jonacrabs promised “crab apocalypse” or his fade play wipes us all out.

Welcome Rapt0r22x who tends to dominate the sky with his exceptionally precise (and annoying) lerk play.

Welcome Joe! Who is most likely a robot programmed to absolutely destroy all life forms he comes across. Good thing there isn’t friendly fire or we would all be doomed.

Welcome Rehevkor, our commander. Medpacks and ammo rain from the heavens whenever a skulk even thinks about biting one of us.

Welcome GORGEous you son of a bitch. If GORGEous hasn’t killed you in a while it’s only because he’s busy posting pug pictures. This guy is a crazy fade!

Welcome rantology. She is our go to gorge, and really defines how powerful a gorge can really be. This is the one gorge you don’t want to fight in a 1 on 1 battle.

Welcome DrFlammable. I think that skulk’s invincible. No. It’s just DrFlammable.

And finally let’s welcome garfu. Has anyone seen this guy die after getting a jetpack and shotgun or after he goes fade?

Team Inversion is back in action and we all look forward to the future of competitive NS2!

Inversion NS2 Server Rentals

Looking to rent your own NS2 server?

Team Inversion is pleased to announce that we are now offering HIGH quality/HIGH performance server rentals for NS2! Currently, there are very few if any server providers that are offering server rentals for NS2 (mainly due to the performance issues), and those that do offer server rentals are using standard server hardware to power their servers. This means they can only offer 10 or less player slots and charge a heafty price for those few slots since you need to dedicate a whole CPU core to the server. Here is where Team Inversion comes in to offer the NS2 community access to the highest quality hardware that no other game provider has to offer.

  1. Unlimited player slots!
  2. Each server is tied to a single core dedicated to only that server (4.5 Ghz Core i5 2500k processor)
  3. 2 GB of reserved memory
  4. UGCC control panel with full command line access / Web FTP / Server monitoring / NS2 server web manager.
  5. Located 25 Miles from Downtown Chicago / 100Mbit line / 99.999% network uptime / Redundant power.

The following NS2 servers are already running on our hardware:

  1. InversionNS2.com #1
  2. InversionNS2.com #2
  3. Team #156 | Chicago #1
  4. Team #156 | Chicago #2
  5. Nades's Server|Chicago
  6. -[420]- Clan Server
  7. Lerk More | US - Inversion

NS2HD Cast - Inversion vs duplex

With the postponement of the NS2HD Tournament recently announced by Hugh (NS2HD), Hugh decided to setup a casted match between the two predicted teams that were anticipated for the tourmanet finals. The match was planned to be a battle of some of the top NS2 players currently active in the beta which we have been heavily looking forward too. Enough talking from my end, check out the "clash of the titans" with the commentating by NS2HD and Zeikko on the Inversion vs. duplex NS2 Beta Gameplay!

Team Inversion welcomes Fana and Boston server

As some of you may know, we recently acquired NS1 veteran Øivind "Fana" Foss to complete our 8 man roster. Fana is infamous for his amazing NS1 resume. Fana played for a variety of NS1 EU tournament winners such as Keep That Donkey Moving, Static, Knife, Nine Legends (9L) to name a few. The addition of Fana to Inversion completes the 8 man roster we have been trying to complete for some time now and are excited to start fragging with him in future scrims/matches!

On a side note, we recently obtained a new server box in the Boston/East Coast (US) location to add to our Chicago server (US) location(s). We focused on setting this up to help ease the ping issues for North American teams playing Europe teams as well as provide another server that can be used by the community. Our servers are always available to any team that wants to use them, so, if you are considering reserving one of our servers for a future scrim/match, just send Tempest (Server Administrator) -or- vizioNz (Backup Administrator) a message and reserve one anytime!

New member and community events

AnagramNS2.com Goes Live!

Please join us in welcoming Xerond to team Inversion! He has been hanging around with us for quite some time, so it was only a matter of time till he asked to join.

In other news, I want to let everyone know that we are still hosting the weekly PUG event on Saturday at 6 PM. We have had some really good games the past couple of weeks and I would like to see that continue. Next week on Sunday at 6 PM we will be hosting a new event called Alien wars. We will turn friendly fire on and everyone will go gorge at crossroads in summit. Once we say go, the last gorge standing alive is the winner! We will then do the same with lerks v lerks and fades v fades.
